The Advocacy Skills Conference is for students aged 14-18 and is aimed at developing students’ legal knowledge as well as their employability skills. At the conference, students experience a number of advocacy masterclasses, delivered by legal professionals.

There are plenty of opportunities for students to put their advocacy skills to practice. The conference will help to develop soft skills such as critical thinking and public speaking. Students will also learn about the procedures which govern our legal system and will gain in-depth knowledge about a specific area of criminal law.

The sessions include opening and closing speeches, examination in chief and cross-examination and best practice for delivering advocacy.

The day concludes with a Q&A session, the panel made up of the facilitators from the day.
