Historical Mock Trial Conference - Northern Ireland

Taking place at the Historic Royal Palace, Hillsborough Castle, students will have the opportunity to learn from legal professionals about how a court works and the key roles in a criminal court case. Students from Key Stage 3 and 4 will develop their advocacy skills, before the session culminating with the students taking part in a historical mock trial in Hillsborough's historical court - led by the National Justice Museum.

These half-day workshops allow your students to explore:

  • The role of barristers in the court of law
  • How barristers build their argument
  • What happens in a courtroom.

Cost

Tickets are priced at £20 per student, with teachers attending free of charge.
