Jason Arthur

Jason Arthur, Young Citizens trustee

Jason Arthur is the Cabinet Member for Finance and Health for Haringey Council. As part of the council’s political leadership team, Jason shapes the borough’s £340m revenue and capital spending. As Health lead, he is also responsible for the council’s public health initiatives and integration with health and social care partners in North Central London.

Jason also works part-time as a Campaign Manager for Step Up To Serve, working closely with a range of #iwill campaign partners to grow the number of young people involved in social action in health and social care.

Jason’s professional background is in the education sector. Prior to joining Step Up To Serve, he was a maths teacher and the Pupil Premium Achievement Lead at an outstanding secondary school in south London. Jason also worked for Teach First, initially as Teach First President and then in the charity’s strategy and partnership teams.

Jason holds an undergraduate degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford and a masters degree in Politics, Development and Education from the University of Cambridge. He tweets from @Jason_Arthur.
