The project is open to a limited number of primary and secondary schools across London during the 2017/18 academic year. You decide how your school runs this project and who is involved.

Student teams can be made up of 10 or more individuals drawn from upper Key Stage 2, 3 or 4. Participants could be recruited from School Councils, Gifted and Talented groups or by selecting those better suited to working on more practical projects.

This project is a flexible offering that can be run during designated curriculum time or as an enrichment activity.

The resources are written for use with Key Stage 2, 3 or 4 students. Working in teams of 10-30 (or more) they deliver a community project that tackles an issue of their choice with the support of a teacher.

Teachers are responsible for recruiting students to take part in the project. Each school can have as many teams as they wish – this is up to the teacher coordinating school involvement.

Teachers will be provided with everything they need to coordinate school involvement.
