As one of the two new Administrators you will support the success of Young Citizens programmes, resources and events for schools across the UK helping us to deliver our work to benefit over 700,000 children and young people annually. You will play a major part in enabling us to meet the goals set out in our strategic plan, including expanding our reach into more UK schools and increasing the depth of impact of our work.

  • Enjoy working with teachers, consultants, volunteers, suppliers and a range of stakeholders that we work with to make our programmes possible;
  • Are organised and good at juggling multiple tasks such as liaising and scheduling;
  • Are an adaptable and a fast learner;
  • Are flexible and happy to do what it takes to chip in so the charity is successful;
  • Are able to commit to a minimum 12 month contract enabling smooth delivery of our work across the full academic year.

We are looking for two Administrators, each with a specific focus:

Mock Trials: You will play a key role in supporting our flagship Mock Trials programmes working closely with schools and the legal volunteers who help make this unique programme happen. You’ll be someone who loves planning events, ensuring that all the fine details are in place to ensure an amazing experience for everyone involved. You will be involved in helping to organise events from small meetings to huge national finals involving over 500 students. If you already have a passion for legal education and helping young people understand the law, this could be the role for you!

SMSC Learning: You will play a key role in supporting our work including the Make a Difference Challenge, SMSC Quality Mark and our resources working closely with schools and youth organisations to help provide opportunities to develop active citizenship and SMSC learning in their settings. You’ll be involved in collecting case studies, organising celebration events and issuing certificates. You’ll be excited to see children and young people of all ages develop their understanding of the wider world and how they can make a difference regardless of their age.

In addition, you’ll be happy to learn new skills and get involved in other areas of our work as things evolve.
