Are you an expert in working with young people and passionate about increasing their aspirations and opportunities?

If so, we would love to work with you to help engage your young people in our democracy and make sure their voices are heard.

To become a Democracy Ambassadors delivery centre you will:

  • Work with young people aged 13–16 in England.
  • Report back to Young Citizens on the progress of your Democracy Ambassadors.
  • Be able to deliver the training, and support your Democracy Ambassadors in order to complete their peer to peer activity by March 2019.

How does it work?

  • You’ll receive Democracy Ambassador training resources that include a ‘start-up session’ and ideas for supporting your Democracy Ambassadors to deliver peer to peer activity (such as running a session for the rest of the group, posting a vlog on social media or creating and sharing a short videos or quizzes with peers online).
  • Using these training resources, you’ll deliver an initial 2 hour session to your Democracy Ambassadors.
  • You’ll continue to work with your Democracy Ambassadors to help them reach their 50 and then 100 peer to peer interactions.
  • You’ll report back to Young Citizens on your activity.
