Free lesson to help develop KS2 children's SMSC learning

This trial pack of lessons from our Go-Givers website contains the lesson "Democracy" which helps children explore the meaning of ‘democracy’, and the ways in which citizens can participate in democratic life in Britain. They learn about the role of the Prime Minister, MPs and political parties, and how a general election works.

The lesson consists of an editable PowerPoint presentation, that can be adapted for children in different year groups, and flexible lesson plan containing activities on the Suffragettes and discussing social, moral and political issues that matter to the children. The pack also includes the lessons "Our Rules" and "Taking Responsibility" for KS1 children.
