Join the Young Citizens Board as a Trustee or Young Trustee

Do you want to give your time to a charity with a 30 year legacy of youth impact and be part of building its roadmap for the next 30 years?

We are looking for up to four new trustees to join our talented Board of senior leaders to help to steer the charity through a time of exciting change and development. This includes at least one young person aged 18-25  who is passionate about encouraging young people to take an active part in society.

Being a trustee at Young Citizens is a rewarding and exciting experience. With around 20 employees and 2,500 volunteers based across the UK, you’ll join a strong network of people dedicated to spreading the citizenship message.

Trustees not only help safeguard the charity over time but help the organisation and team thrive through their advice, strategic guidance and insight. Successful candidates will work with our leadership team to support the planning and development of an ambitious five-year strategy.

We are particularly interested in experienced senior leaders who have expertise in finance and accounting, fundraising or business strategy, law/justice or shaping policy linking to young people, communities or education.

The ideal young trustee candidate would bring their recent experience of education, social action, youth voice or law and justice to key strategic discussions at board level.

Apply for the Trustee role here and the Young Trustee role here by Monday 4 July 2022 at 9am.

We look forward to hearing from you!
