[CLOSED] Now hiring: Director of Finance and Operations

Are you experienced in managing the finance and support services to ensure effective internal management of an organisation? Want a chance to help shape the future of a busy, growing youth charity whilst being a hands-on as a leader within the organisation?

You could be our next Director of Finance and Operations!

About the role

As Director of Finance and Operations, you will manage the support services function to ensure the effective internal management of the organisation and the creation of an effective platform from which the service delivery teams can operate. This will allow the CEO to focus on policy, networking, communications, project development and delivery.

You will be a key member of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with oversight of Finance, Human Resources, Operations and Systems. This role will also ensure excellent operational management through ensuring strong management of financial processes and protocols as well as broader resourcing of the charity and its systems. This includes assisting colleagues in managing contracts, deploying resources, providing regular budgets and financial reporting (e.g. management accounts).

A strong financial background is required with ability to manage financial processes and support accountancy activities in addition to wider comfort with operational and systems leadership.

Who are we looking for?

We believe the ideal candidate is an experienced senior executive overseeing effective operational processes for finance and systems with an interest in a dynamic role and opportunities to grow. You will have a passion for helping charities work well and enjoy the challenges of a lean organisation with national reach.

Whilst experience managing finance and governance functions is necessary, this role does not require previous experience acting as a company secretary or formal accountancy qualification as long as necessary experience is demonstrable. We welcome senior executives with strong operational experience that has allowed them to develop this portfolio of skills.
