Edward Butler

Head of Partnerships and Engagement

Ed was appointed Head of Partnerships and Engagement at the start of 2022. Prior to this he was Corporate Partnerships Manager at the social mobility charity Envision. His charity career has centered around how the private sector can play more of a role in shaping how society can be a fairer and more equitable place for the next generation.

He has a wealth of experience in dealing with corporate partners and winning new business and has come on board to lead Young Citizens corporate partnerships team into a new phase of growth and visibility.

Before he joined the charity sector he spent two decades in the corporate world most notably as a national sales manager selling the kids milkshake brand Yazoo. He once calculated he had sold enough milkshakes to wrap around the world! He had a successful liver transplant in 2018 which made him re-evaluate what he wanted to do in life and it was this which lead him to the charity sector.

Away from work he lives in West Sussex with his wife and 3 sons. In his spare time he loves to build epic Lego creations with his boys, enjoys cooking Indian food and loves walking his Labrador in the beautiful Sussex countryside.
