Overview
Our KS3, KS4 and Post-16 resources focus on the law surrounding social media usage. In an era of unrivalled free speech, the lessons challenge students to consider what is and isn’t acceptable to be posted online.
Students examine the types of offences that people may be committing (whether knowingly or not) online and the possible consequences of committing these offences. Students also consider how freedom of expression applies in online settings.
Last year over 57,000 young people and 1000 teachers took part. 83% of students stated that taking part improved their understanding of the rule of law and why it is important.
“This resource helped to empower my students and give them an understanding of how their country is run.” – Secondary school teacher, 2021
Download the resources and join us between 14 – 18 March for the Big Legal Lesson 2022!
