What do they look like?
These are 2-3 hour sessions where a group of 25-30 young people join professionals at their offices or in your school to take part in an interactive, skills-building workshop on a key societal issue and theme under one of the following:

  • Legal Workshops – examine topical areas of the law, ranging from climate action to the laws surrounding social media.
  • Economics Workshops – help young people understand how taxes, budgets and wider society is affected by the economy
  • Media Workshops – work through how media affects society today, including mis/disinformation on social media, algorithms and key digital skills

For the 2026/27 academic year our primary offer will be Legal Workshops.

Delivered by trained facilitators and supported by volunteers from the legal sector, these sessions are designed to be interactive, accessible, and relevant to students’ everyday lives.

Who it’s for:

  • Whilst the majority of our opportunities are for 14-15 year olds, we have a small number of workshops suitable for all secondary school ages.
  • Ideal for Citizenship, PSHE, or enrichment days

What students will gain

  • Insight into legal careers
  • Confidence in speaking and teamwork
  • Understanding of real-world legal scenarios

“Having working legal professionals volunteer to speak with the students really helped them to understand the profession better, and clarified misconceptions about the law and how it applies to them.”

Robert Snow, Teacher, Oaklands School

What to Expect

Our workshops are designed to be highly interactive and student-led.

During the session, students will:

  • Work in small groups on real life scenarios
  • Take part in discussions and decision-making activities
  • Collaborate with peers and learn from volunteers
  • Share ideas and respond to real-life situations

Each session students are grouped with volunteers from a leading firm and led by an experienced facilitator.

“For our students, this workshop was a real eye opener. It has encouraged discussion about the law and prison sentencing. It has made students more aware of social media breaches and how the media, law and politics works, influences and sets new challenges.”

Kristina Joseph, Teacher & High Achiever Coordinator, Laurel Park School
