As a part of our work with the APPG on Political Literacy, Young Citizens is hosting a virtual panel talk on 25 November to ask: How can we help young people shape systems – not inherit them?
With the help of our expert panel of sector leaders from the public sector, politics and law, the event will explore what we mean by system change. Each of the panelists has tried to pave the way instead of putting the onus on young people to change broken systems.
Guests include Lord McNicol (Co-Chair of the Political Literacy APPG and NCS Trust Board member), Sally Penni (barrister and author) and Dominic Campbell (Founder and former CEO, FutureGov).
It will be a chance for professional, civic and educational leaders to come together to discuss how we can build on the momentum young people have created and meaningfully equip them to challenge the systems and institutions that govern them.
