Allison’s experience working at Young Citizens

Allison quickly settled in after her arrival from the US. She joined the marketing team for four months to help during a period of significant change.

During this time she brought an outstanding amount of knowledge, energy and determination to her work. Allison held many responsibilities, from promoting different events and programmes through to creating messages on multiple social media channels, blog stories and emails. Don’t feel too sorry for her – she got a few days out too! In fact, she helped the team launch the SMSC Quality Mark at the House of Lords.

“My experience interning at Young Citizens was more than I ever thought it would be and it is all because of the great staff that works within this organisation. Not only did I feel a part of the team right away, but I felt very comfortable to bring in new ideas. The morals and values that displayed by the charity are embodied internally  and presented externally. I can only hope that I can work for a organisation like this again, one day. I truly valued my time with Young Citizens and I wish them nothing but the best in the future.” Allison Gross, December 2017

Allison was so delighted with her intern experience that she nominated us for the CAPA Certificate of Excellence in recognition of facilitating outstanding opportunities for personal and professional development. At the CAPA Commencement Festival on 14 December we were proudly awarded the certificate. Read more about that here.
