Mock Trials Celebration Event: Skills for a Better Future

Overview

Join us on Zoom to celebrate the vital life skills students learn by taking part in the Mock Trial Competitions and how they can utilise them to create a better future.

We have invited inspirational speakers from across the legal world to share their own stories and to speak about the role law can play in building a fairer and more just world. Confirmed so far…
  • Reagan Persaud: a family Law barrister in Leeds described by the Legal 500 as a “forced to be reckoned with”. She is the first and only BAME trans barrister in England and Wales and is a strong advocate for LGBT rights.
  • Sophie Stevens: a Pupil Barrister at 9BR Chambers, representing a range of clients in criminal and extradition matters. She is co-founder of the Neurodiversity in Law, which aims to destigmatise neurodiversity across the legal profession.
There will be an interactive legal quiz, a highlights reel filled with school and volunteer submissions, and we will be announcing the winners of the Court Artist and Court Reporter competitions.
Teams can sign up together or join individually; feel free to pass this link on directly to your Mock Trial team or other students who may be interested in the law at your school!
