Successful Fundraising Gala Dinner

Young Citizens Hosts Successful Fundraising Gala Dinner

Eighty-five esteemed guests joined Young Citizens staff and trustees on 5th October at London’s Middle Temple Hall for its inaugural fundraising dinner. Hosted by TV and radio presenter, comedy writer and former barrister, Clive Anderson, Young Citizens used this event to raise awareness of its work to boost public legal education for young people in schools.

The Citizenship Foundation, trading as Young Citizens, also launched a new 10-year strategy to help more children and young people become active, engaged and motivated citizens.

“With cutbacks in education, the need to support citizenship has never been greater”, said keynote speaker the Right Honourable Lord Dyson, former Master of the Rolls.

The dinner helped make a direct impact on the charity’s ability to increase the scale of its activities. It was also an opportunity to network with guests from across the legal, political and business worlds.

With deepest thanks to Middle Temple for providing their venue for free. This meant that we raised over £20,000 to support our mission in more deprived areas of the country and promoting social mobility.
