Young Citizens appoints its first three Ambassadors

Young Citizens is delighted to announce the appointment of its first ever Ambassadors. Three eminent members of the legal profession will play a crucial role in spreading the word about the charity’s vital mission to help educate, inspire and motivate the active citizens of tomorrow.

We hope to bring news of further Ambassador appointments, from other walks of life, soon.

The new Ambassadors are:

The Right Honourable Sir Brian Leveson

Sir Brian is Head of Criminal Justice in England and Wales.  An Honorary Fellow of Merton College, Oxford, Sir Brian is also the Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University. From 2011 to 2012 he chaired the Inquiry into the Culture, Practices and Ethics of the Press and in 2014 conducted a Review of Efficiency in Criminal Proceedings. Read more…

The Honourable Lady Rae 

Lady Rae is a Senator of the College of Justice in Scotland in January 2014 and in 2017 she was appointed as an Upper Tribunal Judge in immigration and asylum cases. Read more…

His Honour Judge Christopher Kinch QC

Christopher Kinch has been the Resident Judge at the Crown Court at Woolwich since 2013.  Located near HMP Belmarsh, his court is the location for the trial of some of the most serious criminal cases including the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit burglary.  Read more…
