Last week we were delighted to hear that FTI Consulting has been nominated for The Education Partnership Award from Business in the Community. This nomination centred on their partnership with Young Citizens to support young people facing disadvantage to succeed in work and life.
We’ve been working closely with FTI since 2012 on an employee volunteering programme called ‘Boom, Bust & Crunch’ and we think this recognition is great for a business that takes its social responsibility seriously.
Boom Bust & Crunch began with teaching young people economic literacy – following the financial crash – but has now evolved to incorporate the knowledge, skills and understanding to make sense of one of the most pressing issues of the day – Brexit.
Organisations like ours wouldn’t be able to run without the support of dedicated CSR Managers and the generosity of volunteers who give up their time to help young people grasp this incredibly relevant and important topic. Thank you to all of our colleagues at FTI Consulting for their continued support and we hope you continue to gain accolades for your work.
Having recently joined Young Citizens as Partnerships Coordinator, I am thrilled to be a part of this unique and impactful charity. I have joined the team at such an exciting time as we continue to grow and develop our partnerships, helping to ensure better educational outcomes for even more young people.
