Volunteer

With the commitment of our volunteers, we’re able to ensure quality citizenship education is accessible to children and young people across the UK.

We have a variety of ways you can get involved. Whether you are a legal professional wanting to give young people an insight into the judicial system, or a student wanting to help the behind the scenes of Young Citizens' work, we would love to hear from you!

Why volunteer?

With your help, we can change the lives of young people across the UK. Young Citizens reaches over one million children and young people every year. We operate at the intersection of politics, the law, social action and the media, and the work our volunteers do has never been more influential.

We want a diverse community of volunteers who can join us in our mission to ensure every child and young person has access to vital citizenship education across the UK. With your help, we can ensure our work is far-reaching, impactful and inclusive.

How do I get involved?

To get involved, all you need to do is complete our online form. We will get in touch when the right role becomes available.

We provide all of our volunteers with relevant training and onboarding materials. To get an insight into what volunteering at Young Citizens might look like, we would encourage you to sign up to our volunteer handbook. This will show you all the need-to-know of volunteering. It will also show you our top tips for how to make the best of your volunteer experience!
