Interested in learning more about the Bar Mock Trials Competition and Independent School Mock Trials Competition?

These competitions provide young people with an understanding of how the law touches every aspect of their lives as they gain insight to how the legal justice system works.

Young Citizens will be hosting an online zoom session on the 27th September 2023 at 4.00pm to give you an overview of these competitions (Bar and Independent).

This includes what you can expect from the 2023-24 cycle including information about allocations and how you can deliver this in your school context.

Schools will be able to work with specially written criminal cases and resources to prepare for legal arguments. After preparation, your team will take part in the competition going head-to-head with other schools.

Students who take part can develop their critical thinking skills, employability skills and boost their confidence.
