Note there is no charge to attend this session and refreshments will be served.
If you’re a teacher (primary or secondary) or a youth worker within Lincolnshire coast Mablethorpe-Skegness and interested in supporting your children and young people to identify and tackle community space issues then join us for an introductory session where you will:
- Explore what ingredients make up a great community action project
- Understand the benefits of community action for all involved: young people, the community, and delivery organisations
- Think about the particular community space issues faced by young people growing up in coastal communities
- Meet and network with like-minded educators in the local area
- Be inspired by other youth projects
- Find out more about Young Citizens’ new project: Turn the Tide.
Note: This is a stand alone session. However, organisations who want to take it further will be invited to apply to be a Turn the Tide project group, with access to either the Make a Difference Challenge or Bring About Change training and materials online (all free). More details will be provided at the twilight session.
